Minds Matter Event raise over £1000 for Heads On.

On Friday 17 March, Minds Matter, a newly created local organisation, hosted a spectacular Variety Show raising money for local Mental Health Charity, Heads On. The event saw a range of acts from local sea shanty group, The Welly Wailers to a youth dance group, Diverse Dance Works.

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's staff member Courtney Everett and founder of Minds Matter Events remarked "Mental health is hugely important to me both professionally and privately. I wanted to create an event that would spread awareness, raise money, in aid of Heads On, but also be fun and memorable. Knowing we did that brings me so much joy.

Minds Matter Event means so much as it is an opportunity for us to continue a conversation about mental health and encourage and support others. I want to thank everyone who helped me make this show happen. I am so grateful that the night was a success and that we pulled off the show.

Thank you to Heads On for their support and encouragement too. I hope this is just the start of an incredible journey"

Charity Office at Heads On, Abi Harley commented "The event was truly fantastic, not only showcasing local talent but in raising mental health awareness. One in four of us every year will experience a mental health problem; the money raised will enable Heads On to go above and beyond NHS funding and help us support people with mental health issues to stay active and to be more involved in their communities.

We are truly grateful for Courtney and her team of volunteers and acts for putting on such a fantastic event".
