Take A Leap, a co-produced, preventative intervention designed to support neurodivergent children in year 6 during the transition to secondary school.
Funded through NHS Charities Together's Innovation award, Take A Leap is a partnership between Heads On, Aspens, Amaze, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board and Dr Anita Marsden. Co-produced with neurodivergent children and young people and delivered in the Summer term 2026, Take A Leap delivered in person, tailored support to help children understand their neurodivergent identity, feel confident in their ability to advocate for their needs and approach the transition to secondary school with a toolkit that will enable them to be their best selves. Take A Leap's overarching aim was to support children and young people in developing emotional regulation skills and positive identity as a preventative measure to reduce long-term health risks.
We are delighted to present the evaluation report, which examines the programme from development to delivery and makes recommendations for future iterations of the programme.
