Walk for Wards raises over £5,500

A huge well done and thank you to all our fabulous fundraisers who took part in Walk for Wards 2016 on Saturday 18 June raising over £5,500 so far for Sussex Partnership wards and services!
Over 100 people took part by walking, running or jogging either 5km or 10km through the beautiful surroundings of Glynde Estates. Despite the torrential rain the day before, Walk for Wards stayed dry and it was a fantastic event with staff, service users and families all walking and running together.
Some of the projects being supported by Walk for Wards include the landscaping of the garden at Shepherd House, a new allotment for Badgers Corner at Hellingly, a new washing machine for patients on Amberley Ward at the Department of Psychiatry, the refurbishment of the reception area at Linwood and the Recovery College.
Thank you so much to everyone who took part and to all our amazing volunteers; without their support Walk for Wards simply would not happen.
