Volunteers needed to develop heritage project

Are you interested in the history of mental health services? Passionate about championing the NHS and improving care for the future?

We're looking for a small group of people with lived experience of using mental health services in Sussex to volunteer to co-produce Heads On's heritage project that will document the history of mental health care in Sussex from the perspective of people who have used services. We will use our shared history to learn from the past, creating an online archive of oral histories, holding public exhibitions, producing illustrated histories and celebrating positive practice. We hope to launch the project in 2018 - celebrating 70 years of the NHS!

Volunteers will help us to develop the project, attending focus groups to design the model we will use. Heads On will then fundraise to make the project happen under Make Your Mark.

To take part please email your contact details, telling us why you'd like to get involved by Friday 15th December.

We can pay travel expenses to attend focus groups. You don't need to be a current service user to take part, you just need personal experience of using NHS mental health services in Sussex.

How you can help

Whether you make a donation, attend an event or fundraise for us, every penny will help make life better for people with mental health problems.
