Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust digital inclusion project has reached 40 digitally excluded service users through carrying out a 6-month trial of a library of 50 tablets with added data connectivity and appropriate on-going support.
Thanks to Vodafone, this scheme has now been extended: by donating unlimited texts, calls and 20GB of data every 30 days for 6 months. Our service users involved in the scheme have reported that they now feel more confident and competent using a digital device since having a tablet in addition to an increase in general wellbeing.
Some service users involved in the scheme gave us a few words about their experience of using the tablet along with the Vodafone SIM cards:
o Filled up time
o Helps mental health
o Occupying, useful, essential
o Absolutely excellent
o A lot of fun, really useful
o Life saving
o Graphic, connecting, educational
o Educational and exciting
A huge thank you to Vodafone for allowing us to continue our project and helping to tackle digital exclusion.
