Staff team go the distance for Heads On, raising over £2,000

The Royal Parks Half Marathon took place on Sunday 11th October and thankfully the weather was kind on our five runners, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful 13.1 mile route which takes in some of London’s most famous landmarks. Our team of Sussex Partnership staff members all took part to raise money for a range of mental health services. One of our runners, Jonathan West is raising money for the Perinatal Mental Health Service, which works with pregnant women and new Mums who have or are at risk of developing mental health problems. The service is going to use the money he’s raised to help them to set up peer support sessions for the Mums they work with. Being able to pay for travel costs and training for the peer support workers will have a huge impact on the success of these sessions.

We want to say a huge thank you to our runners, who raised over £2,000 between them:

  • Janet Woodhouse
  • Rachael Duke
  • Jenny O’Callaghan
  • Keith Goodsell
  • Jonathan West

If their stories have inspired you to dust off your running shoes, we have charity places available for the Vitality Brighton Half Marathon in February and the Brighton Marathon in April. If you would like to run for Heads on and raise money to support our service users through recovery, contact or give Anisa a call on 07469351456.
