5k Sea Swim for Meadowfield Hospital raises nearly £1000

A huge thank you to Hazel (and a team of swimmers!) who recently swam 5k from Ferring to Littlehampton to to raise money for Meadowfield hospital.

Hazel lives with severe mental illness and wanted to undertake the challenge to raise awareness of how tough and unpredictable this can be.

We are so grateful to the swimmers for raising both awareness and funding to support service users at Meadowfield. The event involved open and honest conversations about mental health, with many swimmers sharing their own lived experiences after the swim. This is so significant in the movement to help end the stigmas attached to severe mental health problems.
