Photos of Joy

At the end of April, the Education and Training team took part in various challenges for the 2.6 Challenge. Two members of the team both ran 2.62 miles, whilst another two cycled.

The remaining team member Jess did something a little different.

"For this challenge I had decided against making 26 cupcakes, cookies etc. as quite frankly I could do without them! So I had an idea…"

Jess put a Facebook post out to The Bexhill-on-sea group, asking for people to comment on her post with photographs of anything that brought them joy during lockdown. In the end, Jess received 100 comments!

The photos ranged from people's smiling children and gorgeous pets, to their colourful gardens and landscapes that they find beautiful. People also shared photos of activities that make them happy during lockdown, such as baking or doing vibrant make up.

Jess said "To say I was blown away by what people had shared was an understatement. The posts were funny, heart-warming and at times very moving."

You can see some of the photos on the right. The rest are being released every day on Heads On's Facebook and Twitter page. Please feel free to share your #photosofjoy if you feel happy to do so - they may well bring others joy too.
