John Completes 100 Mile South Downs Way for Heads On

Well done John - 100 miles in four days is no mean feat, but doing it whilst carrying everything you need for the whole trip on your back is very impressive!

John's not only raised over £500 for Heads On, he's also achieved an important personal goal.

"It's been one of the most amazing experiences of my life! It was truly incredible to take on this challenge for Heads On,' said John.' It's an honour to have the chance to prove to myself and to others that you can overcome  your mental health problems and succeed in your ambitions.

Although the 100 mile challenge was very tough it was made easier by being rewarded with incredible panoramic views for miles on end every time I walked along a high altitude ridge. And believe me... there were many of them! It was amazing to be surrounded by such beautiful scenery for the full stretch of the South Downs. Truly an experience of a lifetime and I'd recommend it anyone up for a challenge.

I want to say a massive thank you to my mum, Ian, Mandy and Steve, for supporting me on the last two days of my challenge. Also a massive thank you to those supporting me along the way through social media. I was humbled by how many people wished me well. Especially those that donated!"

Huge thanks to John for all his fundraising and hard work - you've done brilliantly!
