Heads On for Hope

The recording of Heads On for Hope is now available!

The virtual event, which took place on 6th December, featured a number of Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust staff and service users talking about ways they have gotten through these difficult times, and things which inspire hope in them for the future. The Swandean entrance was also lit in purple for the event, courtesy of the very helpful Estates team at Swandean.

Tim Wellington from the Forensic service spoke about his experiences, along with Simon Hobbs, SPFT’s Spiritual Lead. Sam Allen, SPFT’s CEO, and Apri from the Research department also talked about how they dealt with the past year, and their hopes for the coming year.

Two Experts by Experience (EbEs) also joined the event, speaking about how the pandemic had affected them and urging us to have hope despite the difficult circumstances.

The words spoken by each of the presenters came from the heart, revealing how the pandemic has affected all of our lives but how we can get through this together if we carry on hoping. A tear came to a few eyes!
