Heads On Delighted to Receive Cheque from Cottesmore Ladies

After an amazing year of fundraising Cottesmore Lady Captain for 2018 Heather Skinner was as delighted to hand over a final cheque for £6,637.40 to Head On as we were to receive it. The money raised is being used to develop a new sensory garden at Langley Green Hospital in Crawley. The money was raised through coffee mornings, raffles, a sponsored walk, quiz nights and charity fun days.

"The generosity of our Ladies section has totally astounded me," said Heather. "We are a small group of ladies and through many avenues of fundraising we have raised £6637.40 (and still counting!) for Heads On. We are pleased that this will go towards the new sensory garden as it will improve the facilities for service users, staff and visitors.

We all appreciate this is a great cause as one in four people are affected by some form of mental health illness.  Cottesmore Ladies are pleased that the garden will be named the 'Phoenix Garden' as one of Cottesmore’s golf courses is named the Phoenix. We very much look forward to visiting the garden in the future and seeing it blossom!"

Heads On, staff and service users at Langley Green Hospital will be delighted to welcome the Cottesmore Ladies to see their fundraising plans put into practice as soon as the new garden is set up. Huge thanks once again for all your hard work.
