Christmas Funding Competition

With money raised at Christmas Jumper Day 2016, we asked Wards to send Heads On a proposal of a paragraph or two as to how they would spend the prize money and how it would benefit their service users this Christmas.

Beechwood Unit's bid won first prize of £250 to buy headsets for each of their patients.

It will "make our wish come true.....to help us implement our goal to provide music to all our patients....to download individual meaningful playlists for them....Their own personal Christmas party, every day of the year!" said Jenny Marshall.

Millview won second prize to help fund an open afternoon and a Christmas tree in the main reception.  Hastings came third with all sorts of seasonal plans for their in-patients.

There were so many lovely ideas as to how to spread Christmas cheer to our service users who can't be home this Christmas, it was such a difficult decision to make.

Fortunately so many have registered to take part in Christmas Jumper Day this year, there should be a good sum of money raised to spend on our Wards next Christmas!
