BAME funding from NHS Charities Together

Heads On are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a £50,000 grant from NHS Charities Together to fund work which will  improve Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) mental health services for both staff and service users from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.

The grant will be used for staff training and development, and for research investigating BAME service user experience of SPFT mental health services (including during the Covid-19 pandemic).

Both these strands of work will enable us to improve SPFT mental health services, ensuring they are culturally appropriate, and respond directly to the needs of people from BAME backgrounds. We are really excited to take this work forward!
