A Wet Weekend of Running

On the last wet and windy weekend of September, two women braved the weather to collectively run 32 kilometres on behalf of Heads On.

On Saturday 28th September, Victoria Scott, from Lewes Golf Club, ran the Barns Green Half Marathon, completing it in 2 hours and 21 minutes in the wind and rain. She has raised £700 and counting for both the Beechwood Unit in Uckfield and the Dementia Research Centre in Crowborough.

On Sunday 29th September, Heather Lewis, who works in the Specialist Older Adults Mental health Team in Hastings, ran the Eastbourne Tempo 10k, once again battling through rain and gales. Heather will be further fundraising by holding a cake sale on World Mental Health Day on 10th October.

We would not be able to fund the projects that we do without our wonderful supporters. Thank you so much to Vicki and Heather, and hopefully they have dried out now!
