Walk or Woof for Wards 2019 - Help Heads On Raise £20K
This year Heads On is setting out to raise a massive £20,000 at our annual Walk for Wards event at Glynde Estates near Lewes, and we need as many supporters as possible to come along and help us reach our target. For 2019 we're also asking our canine friends to help by taking part in 'Woof for Wards', a new take on our biggest fundraiser of the year!
Everyone is welcome - you don't have to have a dog to enter - we just want as many people and dogs to fundraise and walk, jog or run 5k or 10k for Heads On! Walkers and woofers can choose who they want to raise money for and every penny raised will go to the ward or service of their choice.
We are so pleased to be returning to the beautiful Glynde Estates on Saturday 18th May. The event is a great chance to get some exercise, have some fun and raise some much needed funds. We'd love you to be part of it.
We'll be offering prizes too - more news on this soon!

Walk Or Woof for Wards is a great family day out, with registration fees just £10 for an adult, £5 for a child or £25 for a group of two adults and two children. Participants receive a fabulous Heads On purple t-shirt, a medal, tea/coffee/soft drink and cake at the end, as well as an all-important fundraising pack when you register. To sign up click here.
Your registration fee only covers the cost of taking part so please get out there and raise as much as possible for your chosen fund. It's a great chance to focus your fundraising efforts for a specific project or activity. The Hastings Urgent Care team raised over £700 in 2018 which they used for a range of projects including decorating two family rooms at Woodlands and St Raphael Ward and Christmas gifts and activities. Rowan Ward at Meadowfield Hospital in Worthing used the money they raised to fund an art therapy project to create a mural in the ward garden. Just think how your favourite service could benefit from your fabulous fundraising in 2019!
Walk or Woof for Wards can't happen without the support of our fabulous volunteers. Could you or someone you know volunteer to help us set up, run the event or clear up? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07469 351 456 to sign up.
We look forward to seeing you there!
