Walk for Wards May 2017

A record number of people ran, jogged and walked the 5k and 10k route to raise money for the mental health ward or service closest to their heart. After all their efforts, they were rewarded with a medal and a slice of cake with a cuppa at the finish line.

Service users, staff, families, friends and lots of dogs came together to raise money, sharing their passion to support those who experience mental illness.  They have so far raised a whopping £22,900 and every single penny will be spent on all sorts of projects across the Trust, from garden allotments and garden sheds to refurbishing reception areas and games and toys for children.

Heads On would like to thank everyone who came along and took part and helped make it such a special day!  A special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped with everything from baking cakes, erecting gazebos, hammering in the finish line, blowing up ballons and cheering everyone on!
