Heads On Hearts of Gold
Heads on Hearts of Gold.
In the build up to Valentine’s Day, Heads On are asking the local community to get involved in their Heart of Gold Campaign. During the global pandemic, mental health of the general public has declined and Heads On are trying to raise awareness whilst spreading joy and hope throughout Sussex.
Schools and Young People
Children’s Mental Health week starts on 1 February 2021, during this week we are asking schools and young people to decorate golden hearts and put them in their windows to spread some love and hope around in our local community, all whilst showing support for mental health awareness. We can provide the school with some children’s mental health resources and a live workshop with an artist to help decorate the hearts. This recording will be available to watch after the live stream on Monday 1 February via YouTube. It would be lovely if the young people then displayed their hearts in their windows over the Valentine’s weekend.

Businesses and Individuals
Heads On are encouraging business and adult individuals to send out Hearts of Gold cards in the run up to Valentine’s Day. The cards can be sent to someone who has shown them a heart of gold over during the pandemic, thanking people who have supported their mental health. It could be NHS staff, teachers, family, friends, the smiley face in their local corner shop. Just someone who has made them feel better when times have been tough. The Hearts of Gold cards can be printed or downloaded here.
Heads On rely greatly on the generosity of the local community to continue with their Covid-19 response, supporting people who are most affected by the pandemic. If you would like to make any donation or get involved with fundraising please email Headsoncharity@sussexpartnership.nhs.uk
